Clay & Carrots: Deborah Wren’s Ceramic Tribute to Produce
Inspired by the vibrant produce from Mediterranean markets, Wren’s ceramics celebrate the beauty of nature through clay.
Each piece, from sculpted vegetables to intricate wall art, captures the essence of the land and seasons, transforming everyday produce into timeless, evocative art. Her studio is based in Rye, East Sussex.

Deborah Wren x Turnips Residency:
During her residency at Turnips in Borough Market, Wren put our produce to work with her craft.
She transformed our produce into unique ceramic pieces, capturing the curling tendrils of radicchio and boldness of our Laudani Blood Oranges with such individuality and skill.
“To create in the heart of Borough Market’s bustle and its abundance of fresh produce was an absolute joy. I’m used to my solitary studio in Sussex; this new setting brought an entirely new energy to my work and I love what we created together.”
We take such pride at Turnips in crafting beautiful produce displays each morning and her artistry beautifully mirrors our commitment to the artistry of fresh produce.
